Johnny and Jacqueline's bio

                          Jacqueline and Johnny's Bio

Originally from Paradise, CA, Johnny Burgess has performed and composed music most his life.  During the late 80's,  Johnny performed with Bay Area Grateful Dead off-shoot band called "Kingfish" with Dave Torbert, bassist from the "New Riders Of The Purple Sage" as band leader.  Also, Johnny was keyboardist for Sonny Rhodes's back up band along with Steve Cooley on guitar at many Northern California venues.   Once in the Pacific NorthWest (1992), Johnny has shared the stage with Jerry Miller(Moby Grape) and Lil Dave Thompson, as well as many other South Sound bands, including recently disbanded "Loose Gravel and the Quarry".  Johnny is currently a "Dangerfield" (Steve Cooley and the Dangerfields) and fills in with the "Al Earick Band" on occassion.

Jacqueline was born into a family of storytellers from Prior Lake Minnesota. She co wrote and performed in skits and plays in the local neighborhood and in high school while keeping diaries and journals through young adulthood. In the mid-eighties Jacqueline migrated to Tacoma Washington with her family and began her college education at Tacoma Community college followed by attending and graduating from the University of Washington Tacoma. While still a student Jacqueline wrote prose titled “First Injection”, which was published in the fifth anniversary edition of the literary journal “Tahoma West”, showing what it was like to teach her six-year-old how to give her first insulin injection. This publication was shortly followed by a profile of a local artist published by the now defunct “Tacoma Reporter”. Before having her previous job outsourced, she was a technical writer and trainer for Carlson Marketing Worldwide.

Jacqueline began writing lyrics for musician Johnny Burgess in 2010 after they both realized how her poetry/lyrics and Johnny's musical compositions seemed to fit perfectly.
