- TOMI's debut project ALL FOR YOU features the hit single FUSS OR FIGHT, which has been awarded Song Award Gold by BEAT 100 in the UK. The video by the same name was also awarded Video Award Bronze (for a high quality original video with good production values) and Favourite Award Silver for being one of the BEAT 100 team's favourite videos. The video also received an Indie Music Channel Award nomination for Best R&B Video (under 5K). ALL FOR YOU also includes the sleeper hit, HUSTLIN', which was ranked #7 on Soulsorts Top 25 Songs of 2010 in the United Kingdom and was nominated for Best R&B Recording and Best R&B Producer (Kevin Harrington).
A prolific songwriter and singer, Tomi started his professional musical career singing background on recordings for R&B group Hi-Five on Jive Records. Tomi went on to work with Prince Markie Dee's Soul Convention Records, which had major distribution through Epic Records. During his time with Soul Convention Records, Tomi worked with artists such as Mary J. Blige, Usher, Miss Jones, Craig Mac, Mariah Carey, High Five, Joe, and Hassan to name a few. He made a guest vocalist appearance on the highly acclaimed Tyra Banks Show.
It was only natural for him to pursue his musical destiny under the influence and watchful guidance of his multi-talented cousin, world renowned drummer/composer/producer Kevin Harrington, whose stellar list of credits includes Music Director for Freddie Jackson, Associate Music Director for Queen Esther Marrow’s Harlem Gospel Singers, and drummer for Nona Hendrix (LaBelle), Chico Debarge and Stanley Turrentine.
