Bio:
Campaigning for Zeros, an alternative trio from the Coachella Valley, CA released their EP Sourglass on September 7th, 2012. This second EP from the band takes a more raw approach to catching their sound in comparison to their debut release, Premonitions.

The 3-song self-released EP demonstrates the melodic writing style of vocalist and guitarist Eric Taylor, the fluency of bassist Kevin Wiseman, and the hard hitting rhythms of drummer Brad Ouellette. Taylor’s antagonistic relationship with time thematically unites the three songs, which were recorded in May 2012 at Rick Jones Studio and Sound in Palm Desert, CA. In addition to the title track “Sourglass”, the EP also includes the tracks "Multiple Attempts, Still Nothing", and "Something Real".

Campaigning for Zeros formed in early 2010 and after months of jamming in the garage of drummer Brad Ouellette, first performed live that December. In March of 2011 during their fifth show, at the legendary Palm Desert, CA dive bar The Red Barn, Warped Tour founder Kevin Lyman stopped them after the second song of their set and told them “play the next song like its the last song you will ever play. If I like it I will put you guys on Warped Tour.” After playing their song “In My Dreams”, it was only a matter of a few emails before Campaigning for Zeros was posted on the Warped Tour website and booked to play the San Diego date of the 2011 tour.

In June of 2011 they visited Sound Sanctuary Studios in Riverside, CA to record their first EP Premonitions. The record consisted of the songs “Beneath the Moon”, “In My Dreams”, and “Lost”, which has been picking up play on several internet radio stations since its release. Rebecca Hosking of Skope Magazine said the record has “up tempo, feel good songs with vibrancy and class” in her September 23, 2011 review of the self-released debut EP.

After the release of Premonitions the band booked shows in the Palm Springs, Los Angeles, and San Diego areas to further build their fan-base. Besides sharing the stage with such acts as Terrible Things, Eyes Set to Kill, and There for Tomorrow at the Vans Warped Tour, they recently opened a show for Unwritten Law at the Date Shed in Indio, CA in July 2012.

“This situation calls for a different interpretation”, a quote from “Something Real”, the last track on the Sourglass EP, is the thought process the band has in trying to encourage more people to attend live music. Music is what makes the world go round and Campaigning for Zeros is putting in their effort to keep it spinning.
