Based upon my own ordeal with suicide surrounding my miscarried child this song began as a lullabye to that child and ended as a suicide note.

When I presented it to the director, he had also experienced a suicide and wanted to highlight the way that on the surface, a life can appear calm and beautiful, yet just beneath an unseen tragedy can be eating away at the most apparently happy people, so we need to be kinder to each other, and more aware of how to help.

The final draft came in the day that Chris Cornell tragically took his life, and it morphed into a music video/suicide awareness PSA/call to action.

This video went on to win the heartland emmy for composition/arrangement, two telly awards, two aurora awards, and several other accolades.

Total budget: $500
