A Letter Of Tears

by John Henson on Monday, May 2, 2011 at 3:46pm

Dear Sir, Mr Osama Bin Laden

Why is it that you do what you do

How did your cold heart harden

When you killed my Daddy too

He worked in an office in the towers

He never, ever did anything to you

Did you think it gave you some powers

When you killed my Daddy too

He was coming home to us that day

With a toy for me all shiny and new

Collected from a shop on his way

When you killed my Daddy too

Did’nt your family teach you love

Were’nt they ever kind to you

Is that why you sent planes from above

When you killed my Daddy too

They showed us all your picture

Mum screamed and screamed at you

She cried and made me feel unsure

When you killed my Daddy too

We saw the news on the television

They said that the two towers blew

Was it you who made the descision

When you killed my Daddy too

Mum took me where the towers had stood

Just rubble being cleared from view

A broken toy lay in the dust and mud

When you killed my Daddy too
