With sonic landscapes, purposeful lyrics and compelling melodies, socialghosts is a Los Angeles indie rock trio. Blending stylistic influences like The Band CAMINO, The 1975, and The Maine with the iconic sounds of The Beatles and The Beach Boys, socialghosts breathes new life into their music with a unique approach.
The band’s current repertoire of music has been entirely self produced, written, recorded and mixed. This includes their first single, “Malibu,” a take-no-prisoners track that combines beach-like textures with a “plug in and go” approach. Even without the backing of a label, the band has already secured major alternative radio play, notably Santa Barbara’s 92.9 KJEE. The most recent single, “Puzzle in the Dark,” a danceable, catchy indie-pop track, also received radio play; the official music video dropped in January 2022.
socialghosts is a collaboration between songwriters Connor Daniel (Vocals/Guitar/Bass), Sean Embrey-Stine (Vocals/Keys), and Dhruva Krishna (Drums/Guitar). Since 2019, the trio has been writing and recording at their studio. The group is currently working on new music and is planning out shows for 2022.
