DOUBLE YOUR POP MUSIC PLEASURE WITH DV2!

TWO OF THE NEWEST FACES ON NEW YORK’S R&B/POP MUSIC SCENE HAPPEN TO BE IDENTICAL! They belong to DV2. Who modestly present a Double Threat to the “aspiring diva “persona with their edgy vocals and good looks.

“We were raised with strong work ethic,” says Abi. “We learned early on that nothing worthwhile comes easy.”

Abi and Tamara were born to a Barbadian Father and Guyanese Mother. They came from a very humble beginning and part of a close knit family. A few years later they came to the US with big dreams of becoming singers. Eager to get acclimated and make new friends, the sisters joined school choirs and performed at numerous talent shows where their vocal abilities were first noticed and nurtured. They even studied music and voice in high school. But it was audience reaction to their soaring harmonies at local talent shows and events that turned a fun pastime into a serious career choice for the determined duo.

“Right now we’re focused on getting our music and image out there,” Abi continues.
“We’re trying to balance music industry trends with our desire to remain true to ourselves,
to hold on to what is REAL and UNIQUE about DV2.

On their first professional demo, the sisters chose to record some cherished old pop/r&b songs, tunes they sang along with the radio while growing up. Among them are the hit ballad “Right Here waiting” and the more up-tempo, “Let’s Stay together.” Going forward they hope to attract producers and writers who will create material tailored to their edgy yet soulful vocal persona. An immediate goal is to return to the recording studio with a producer and/or engineer who shares their vision.

“We respond to songs with upbeat, positive messages, Abi explains. “On the other hand, we’re much into the club scene, and music that we can’t help but to sing along to.”
There first original single title “Give me all you got” is more R&B/ Reggae showcasing their Island background. The next single is more R&B/POP which is their true love.

DV2 also share non-career tastes and values, including love of family and animals.
DV2 hopes to use their career in music to support many charitable foundations that are close to their hearts, that includes Cancer Research and the Awareness of HIV/AIDS.
