Bio:: Van Angeles from The 2nd Power, born Vance Holland 01/28/1976 in Harbor City, CA. Raised in the Los Angeles area (Compton, West Covina, South Central Los angeles). Resides now in the Inland Empire area first fontana, CA and now for the last twelve years in San Bernardino, CA. At the age of seven, started writing poetry and performing acting in plays in private school. Also at an early age, started listening to Hip Hop and was inspired by artists like LL Cool J, Run DMC, NWA, Ice Cube, Big Daddy Kane, Public Enemy, Biz Markie, and Eric B & Rakim. At the age of twelve, started writing rhymes and freestyle battling at local middle and high schools throughout the West Covina area and greater Los Angeles Area. Participated in rapping with others making special appearances on other people's underground albums and songs, such as G Mar Rock (Vance's older brother). Recently met Fellow group partner Spencer Kogut (DJ Rock K) while both working for the San Bernardino City Unified School District working in Maintenance & Operations in 2004. Later in 2010, Found out by another fellow employee that Spencer Kogut was a DJ and a producer, they both met up and had a feel for one another in creating music sharing the same vision putting out "Inspirationalmotivational" hip hop. Then after, Van Angeles and DJ Rock K collaborated in which they became the 2nd Power. Now the 2nd Power is currently working on the upcoming "Lovepower" mixtape, which will be released in June 2011.
