Bio:
I am a musician/Songwriter with a history in the music business. I am an accomplished sound engineer from OIART and toured with many top Canadian Acts during the '80's and '90's. Music is my passion and I have been playing for 32 yrs. I have been working on songs for an upcoming CD that I hope to get out hopefully later this year or early 2012. My inspirations are many and you can hear some of those influences in my music. My music tends to be on the edgier side and I have not written any ballads. If you listen to Groovy Groovy you will hear some Jeff Beck. Other inspirational artists that I admire are Satriani, Gary Hoey, Steve "Lips" Kudlow, Phil Campbell, Fast Eddie Clarke, Steve Stevens. These artists are showman and true guitarists. I stareted out playing in garage bands and progressed to playing the bar circuit. After a while my father (RIP) asked me to think about my future and have a backup plan in case music did not pan out for me. Hey most never make it....which I knew. So I applied to OIART and was accepted. I graduated and then became a Live Sound Engineer which I absolutely adored. So I am torn between playing and engineering. SO what you get when you listen to my music is purely my Frankenstein. I am fortunate to know many incredible players and some of these players have showcased their talents on afew of my songs. I write from the heart and really try to speak thru my guitar. Currently I have written a few songs which are awaiting vocal tracks and promise to be real kickers. I currently put all of my focus into my music and my true goal is to get my music onto Movies, Television, and Video Games. I find that the live music scene is not very lucrative and I am actually embarassed as to what the bars actually pay bands today. Sad indeed. But I write for the passion and I enjoy my music. I love playing and I love writing. I would love to hook up with agood lyricist and vocalist to bring my songs to an new level. Being and Indie artist means I drive my own destiny and I am not controlled by a major label. SO kick back! KRANK It LOUD!!!! and play air guitar. I am sure you'll dig the groove and hopefully this may help make my dreams a reality! Cheers and Chyaaaaa!!!! - Scott Roffey
