Bio:
The band was formed in the summer of 1996 by two brothers - Stamen (guitars) and Marian (drums), Dimitar (vocals) and Asen (bass). In October of 1997 Marian and Stamen came to the most important decision of the band's development: take a girl as a back vocalist. Eileen impressed the rest of Anamnasia with her beautiful voice. Her contribution was enough to make her and indivisible part of the group. Asen left and Stefan joined in December of 1997.In October of 1998 Anamnasia entered the studio and recorded their first album "MASS". Unfortunately, the quality of the sound was not good enough and the band failed to find support from a major label for the release of the CD. After almost two years of playing on stage and writing music, the band entered Graffiti studio in Sofia working with a new sound engineer - Ogi and recorded their official debut album - "NEO". The production quality was better and the arrangements more mature. Along with seven new tracks on two of which Koko played the saxophone, the CD included re-recorded versions of "Anger" and "Confession of a Slave""LB" (recorded in the same studio in 1999). In May of 2001 Anamnasia filmed a video for the song "Inner friend" from the "NEO" album. In July of 2001 the band decided to add a new member Danail On the 18th of September Stefan left and Danail took over the bass parts. In July 2004 Krasimir briefly rejoined ANAMNASIA to leave again in early 2005. Mitko took his place in January. Danail left in March to return at the end May 2005. The reunion did not last for long and the group lost its bass player one last time in 2008. The reason behind Danail's final departure was described as a complete loss of interest in music. In the summer of 2008 Eileen decided to rejoin the band's line up. In 2010 Anamnasia entered the studio (with Stamen playing the bass) and recorded the new tunes along with spending some time re-mastering 4 old songs from "Neo". The material is featured in a new EP "Shallow".
