- Award-winning retro jazz vocalist Laura Ainsworth has the Great American Songbook in her DNA, having grown up as the daughter of renowned big band sax/clarinet master/singer/arranger Billy Ainsworth. She is known for her smooth, sultry, three-octave voice; her red hair, elegant gowns and saucy sense of humor; and for putting fresh spins on both standards and long overlooked midcentury songs. She recently released the best-of compilation "Top Shelf" on vinyl and CD, and her fourth album of new studio material, a collection of fan requests called "You Asked For It." It features her lounge jazz reinvention of "Goldfinger," which also has a film noir-themed video that is receiving worldwide play on music video shows and streaming services.
