Bio:: Kamal G was born Kamal Ricardo Grey in year 1982 in parish of Clarendon Jamaica. He is a dancehall artiste who is versatile and experiments with other genres of music. Kamal can be described as humble, authentic and optimistic. He is a fair-minded person and therefore likes to socialize with persons who are real. He is always striving for the best. Kamal G started out his musical career as a member of three groups and is now a solo artiste. His First group was called Three Two and was formed in High School. In 2000 they entered the Tastee’s Talent Competition and made it to the quarter finals. They were groomed by Ray Alexander and his group formerly called Ink now One Third. Three Two ended in 2004 to 2005. In 2006 he had a brief stint as a member of One Third. In 2007 One Third became the winners of Digicel’s Rising Stars. In 2008 he joined the group J Kidz which also comprised of three members. They recorded singles at a Studio in Old Harbour, where their songs were engineered by Richie Loops. They performed at stage shows in and around the Old Harbour region. Kamal G is now pursuing his dreams as a solo artiste. He has been recordings at various Studios. His latest project is a single that has been released on the My Year riddim and is a Dane Dane Production featuring artistes such as Fantan Mojah, Lutan Fyah, Infa Red and others. He has garnered a lot of experience and exposure within the music industry. He is an expressive and determined person who loves music and this is evident in his continuous endeavours to make music.
