Bio:
In the winter of 2008, America’s heartland gave birth to a sonic boom. That boom took its influences from some of the past’s musical greats and melded it with ideas that seem to be from somewhere in the distant future. The result was a band whose music was capable of setting fire to the listener’s senses with the intensity of a Laser beam. Formed from members of the Damwell Betters and the now defunct Youth Group, the Lazer Dudes were born. Apollo Von Lazer, a.k.a. Josh Catalano, lends his unique writing voice and musical swagger to the band as lead vocals. Pegasus Von Lazer, a.k.a. Marc Broomby, plays guitar and brings his extensive musical background and knowledge to the band. Big Baby Von Lazer, a.k.a. Rory Davis, supplies the other-worldly keyboards while Boy Von Lazer, a.k.a. Jay Benoit, pounds out the driving drum beats. Chavez Von Lazer, a.k.a. Jordan Laier, rounds out the 5 piece lending his skills to the bass. The newly formed band announced its arrival loudly with the 2009 release of the Stimulated Emissions E.P. From the explosive guitar of the opener “She Only Loves Me For My Lazer Parties” to the foot stomping closer “Super Destroyer,” the E.P. established the band as a force to be reckoned with. Sexorcism, the bands first full length album released on Moon Panda Records, greeted fans in mid 2010. The album continued the bands march towards planting their flag on the musical landscape and showed that the Lazer Dudes are not just the band of the future but are the band of today.
