Bio:: John Mascaro is an American singer-songwriter & poet born in Havana, Cuba and raised in New York City. He cut his teeth playing the Greenwich Village folk-rock circuit in New York City and then fronted several rock bands throughout the Greater NY area. He's spent most of the rest of his time writing original material in various genres. He now tours occasionally as a solo singer-songwriter or with a band comprised of members of The Pensacola Rhythm Section. He splits his time between New York City, Nashville, and Pensacola, FL. He's a member of ASCAP, The Nashville Songwriters Association International, and The International Folk Alliance. His tunes are published by Restoration Publishing ALEF c/o Songtrust and he is distributed by tuneCORE. He is signed to JOMO RECORDS.
