Bio:: Straight out of Tokyo, Japan, Izmatik is an international progressive metal band founded in 2018 by bassist Jeff Curry. Rooted in progressive, sci-fi, and thrash metal, the band delivers a heavy, intricate sound that balances technical precision with raw aggression.

Blending elements of prog, thrash, and cinematic metal, Izmatik draws influence from bands such as Voivod, Rush, Dream Theater, Faith No More, King’s X, Opeth, Death Angel, and Anthrax, among many others. Their songs range from expansive, atmospheric compositions to blistering, high-energy assaults, with lyrical themes exploring dystopian futures, individual empowerment, and abstract concepts.

Izmatik first made waves with their debut EP Volt Vein, followed by the full-length album Mystery Step, which earned international attention and critical praise. They continued to build momentum with the singles Chaos Cocoon and Dauntless, leading to the release of their latest mini-album, Reversed Reality.

Heavy, cinematic, and relentlessly progressive, Reversed Reality stands as Izmatik’s boldest statement yet, pushing their sound further while staying true to the band’s uncompromising vision.
