Biography

Jastin Artis, a native of Salt Lake City, Utah moved to Wilmington, NC in August 2009. Jastin found an especially gratifying interest in writing poetry at the ripe age of 17. This love of words and rhymes soon developed into a passion for songwriting, giving Jastin the ability to express his innermost feelings with colorful, descriptive words and music. Through his years of experience and obedience to God he has been able to evolve into the lyrical genius of “The Jastin Artis Project”.

Jastin Artis is going to change the game with his eclectic mix of R&B, hip hop, spoken-word, alternative, and soul; carefully fused with a gospel tone now called hip-hop renaissance. This God inspired twist on music will not only cause a metamorphosis in the industry but it will cultivate the minds of the next generation in how they perceive and create the next genre in music. Not only is Jastin an artist but he is deeply passionate about giving back to the community working with a program called “Devoted” a youth empowerment group that helps young musicians. Musically, Jastin Artis is the bridge from where you are to where you want to be.

Starting his artist career with In S.E.A.R.C.H. Entertainment developing his prowess with locals Neptune 7 and ElectionSure, Jastin branched out on this own now representing Sacred Soundz Entertainment owned by Brian "Blaque B" Johnson also Jastin's main producer. The two have released two mixtapes The Birth of Jastin Artis Vol. 1 and The Birth of Jastin Artis Vol. 2 RISE OF THE PHOENIX. The next album due August 2011 is The Birth of Jastin Artis BACK TO SCHOOL [Aggie Edition].
