Bio:
The culmination of the next great American Blues band has taken form at the historical crossroads of the San Francisco, Nape and Calistoga Railway. The Southern Pacific Railway connected San Francisco to the Napa Valley in the early 1900's. Between St. Helena and Calistoga in the heart of the modern Napa Valley wine country was Maple Station. This location today is the location of one of the premier recording facilities in the Bay Area and the genesis of the next great blues band of our time. The San Francisco, Napa and Calistoga Railway line originated at the port of Vallejo where it met the ferry connection to San Francisco. From there, it headed northwards for a total of 43 miles to terminate at Calistoga, passing through Napa, Yountville, Oakville, Rutherford, and St. Helena. The system began service to Napa on July 4, 1905, and reached Calistoga on September 2, 1908. More than 100 years later Maple Station lives on in the version of Silverado Records founders and recording artists Patrick and Isaiah Flynn. The newly formed Maple Station is a Blues Band with an eye toward Roots/Cajun Gospel and Funk. Obscure covers and original Masterpieces highlight the bands high energy set list. The Depth of their appreciation for the genre comes through in the extremely high quality of material that they cover in addition to the original material that will eventually add to the extensive pool of classic Blues standards. Founders Patrick and Isaiah Flynn, noted father and son duo were previously featured as part of the short lived but successful “Father Son Band” (FSB). FSB was a staple of local clubs throughout Napa and Sonoma County as well as appearances on the Bay T.V. morning show and extensive national radio exposure. The second incarnation of the Father, Son Band includes Patrick’s God Son, Vito Triglia on Saxophone, The venerable North Bay drummer Nigel Bates, and Sonoma County vocalist extraordinaire Rose Conner. Maple Station is signed to Silverado Records and will be touring Northern California in support of their upcoming live album. If you enjoy live Blues music in all it’s magical forms from Delta to Country to Chicago/Electric to Modern and everything in-between, Maple Station will satisfy your craving for gut wrenching and hard pounding American Blues music.
