Bio:
He was born in Athens, on a Saturday at dawn … Self-taught on the guitar, he has been writing and singing since he was very young; he starts his musical journey playing in the school band. He then studies classical guitar and in particular at the National Conservatorium, under Dimitris Fampas. Concerts along important names of the Greek rock scene, as Pavlos Sidiropoulos, Yannis Yokarinis, Fatmé, Lakis Papadopoulos and many others come to add up to his musical journey. He experiments on rock music with his own music bands, in and outside Athens. He arranges the children variety show “Give me so I make one” with Eleni Yerasimidou, music by Yorgos Yerasimidis.. He continues his studies and he attends the Kostas Glavas Conservatory, taking piano and harmony classes. In the following years, his musical researches take him near jazz and Cuban music, while he collaborates with members of the Apurimac and Rasta de Combre. After various inputs from ethnic music, the time comes when he engages with Greek popular and traditional songs. He takes part in Lakis Halkias’ concerts; after he sings and plays guitar in various clubs, while he attends theatre classes by Diomidis Fotiadis. He appears in venues as the “Architektoniki”, while he opens the “Stavros tou Notou” (Southern Cross). The acquaintance with the Katsimihas brothers enriches his course, and he starts a two-year long collaboration with them, in concerts and with his participation in the record “Tis agapis maherià” (The stab of Love). In 1998 he prepares his first recording work by the title “To skotadi keyete” (Darkness is burning) by Minos-Emi, produced by the unforgettable Manos Xydis. Afterwards he plays in a concert with the Pyx-Lax, and for a period of about three years he also plays in concerts and bands presenting his own work. In 2000 his second record comes out : “Mia thalassa pou agriepse” (A stormy sea) produced by Nikos Doulamis and with the participation of Yannis Yokarinis in a song. In Winter 2008 he collaborates with foreign lyrics-writers and musicians, preparing the material for his forthcoming recording debut in the U.S. In June 2009 Microsoft selects, along with other foreign artists, his song “Stormy Eyes”, now also available to download from i-tunes.reverbnation.com and of course from Microsoft sites. At the same time, his new work by the title “Ti ine i agapi telika?” (What’s love in the end?) is out in 2009, by the recording company Avlos and with the participation of Yannis Zouganelis in the song “Desmi – Epidesmi” (Relations – Bandages).
