Bio:: American Mezzo- Soprano Diana Tash has appeared internationally in both operatic roles on
stage and as a featured soloist. Her mezzo stage work has been hailed as “radiant” by the Los
Angeles Times and “ skillful” by the New York Times. Currently a new collaboration with
composer Maria Newman and her song repertoire is in the works for a new album that will
feature Diana Tash as the mezzo soloist to be released in 2026. Diana’s previous album, Bach
Woman, produced by the Teshin Company in 2022 featured Diana with the iconic Lyric quartet
and other baroque string instruments. A frequent recitalist , she performed at the Beatrice
Wood Center for the Arts in Ojai, Ca with acclaimed pianist Armen Guzelimian, who has also
accompanied Diana in her Carnegie Hall debut in NYC and at Zipper Hall in downtown Los

with renowned counter-tenor Brian Asawa, and enjoyed a critically
acclaimed performance of that album televised throughout Mexico in Guadalajara at the Teatro
Degollado which was at the annual Festival de Mayo celebration. Two past staged
performances of Camille Claudel: Into the fire composed by Jake Heggie (include one at Boston
Court in LA CA and One at Festival Opera in Northern California), who maintained that her
performances were “ferociously committed” and that “Diana sang the Bujezzus out of my
score.” As a soprano, she performed at the Aldeburgh Festival in the UK, with Maestro Stuart
Robinson in The Rape of Lucretia by Britten as well as Elegy for young lovers by Henze and at
The Aspen Music Festival singing Mozart concert arias with Maestro Lawrence Foster. Shortly
after the Western Regional Finals of the Metropolitan Opera Auditions where Diana was one of
the winners, Diana became a Resident Artist at LA Opera from 1992-1996 performing
numerous roles. In 2004 she returned to perform with LA opera under the baton of Mo. Placido
Domingo as Mercedes in Carmen by Bizet. Other notable performances have been with Opera
Pacific, The LA Master Chorale with Grant Gershon, Pacific Symphony with Carl St Clair, San
Diego Opera, SLO Opera, Sacramento Opera, & the Akron Symphony Orchestra as well as
international venues. Diana currently teaches in the Applied Music Program at Los Angeles
Valley College and has a Masters Degree in Voice from Manhattan School of Music.
