- Kick the Record began when four veteran musicians got together to play the music they’ve always loved—funk, soul, and jazz…music that creates undeniable motion on and off the stage, kinetic sonority. Yes, this quartet casts light on the profiles of the greats, but more than an homage to bygone eras, KTR innovates; classic songs are treated to become distilled tributes, the songforms: vehicles for exploration.
