- JoeSixPack specializes in genre-spanning post-hardcore metal with a flare for technical, heavy guitar riffs, jazz influenced rhythms and an ominous, sci-fi vibe. Their latest EP, The Inevitability of Armageddon: Dying Words of a Righteous Man, has been described as ‘wholly unclassifiable,’ and a ‘creative vision that commands respect.’ They have been played on podcasts and community radio stations as close to home as Austin, and as far-flung as Tasmania. In a recent review, Michael Butler of The Rock and Roll Geek Show drew comparisons between JoeSixPack and Coheed and Cambria, Black Flag, and Rush. The group got its start in late 2007 in Austin, TX, and has been melting the faces of unsuspecting passers-by ever since.
