Bio:: Born and raised in Seattle, Washington, Alice absorbed the musical landscape of the town- Cobain, Hendrix, Pearl Jam, and Ray Charles- and weaved her jazz piano stylings into singer-songwriter territory, creating a style that evokes the sound of Tori Amos, Lucinda Williams, Fiona Apple, and a touch of Tom Waits. Her mentors -Wayne Horvitz and Kelly Harland- along with her collaborators- Ben Smith of Heart, acclaimed Seattle bassist Chuck Deardorf, and guitarist Maximillian Keene from the Lani Rose band- made a world-class album that will be on the forefront of pop music for years to come.

Writing some new tunes!

Okay, I have always loved Lucinda Williams. And lately, I've been into Ray Lamontagne. I just love the stories. So I have a bit of the old country influence coming in now. And I'm not even a fan of nor did I grow up on country! Ha!

Moving to WI

It's raining like the dickens here in Ripon, WI. We have so many more boxes to unpack, I don't have much time to do music!! Oh well. One thing at a time. My next project is to write about the lives of the college aged. What does it feel like to be in an uncertain world for a job, a life, a love not yet found?
