Bio:: Celestial Ruin, The first true symphonic Hard Rock band from Vancouver is the brain child of ex-Dreams of Treason drummer Adam “The Thunder” Todd. Always inspired by insane female melodies in rock music Adam’s journey began with the desire to find the perfect voice for the project. He didn’t even want to start looking for the rest of the line up until the right front woman was found. 2 years later, July 2010, in a karaoke bar in downtown Vancouver, his struggle came to an end when a mutual friend introduced him to Larissa Dawn! Larissa’s voice was exactly what was envisioned, and had Adam sold with only one song. After only 6 months, Celestial Ruin had fleshed out it’s line up with the additions of Nathan Loflin and Logan Constant had built a local following over 500 strong without even a audio sample, they were ready! They retained the services of Platinum Award winning producer Kevin Hamilton to assist in truly bringing their songs to life and the recording process began. With the help of ex-Sarah Mclachlan Bassist Jeff Sawatzky, Celestial Ruin spent 5 days in studio, utilizing every available opportunity available to present the best possible result from using live orchestral instruments in their track “Goddess” to converting the loading bay of the recording studio into a reverb chamber to really bring out the low end of the drums. With the final addition of Mike "DIKK" Dagnais on Bass, and with the eminent release of the debut EP “The Awakening” Celestial Ruin is ready to take the world by storm.
