Karl-Kristjan Nagel studied painting in Estonian Academy of Arts (1995-1999). In 2001 he started with sound projects to make music for his videoworks. He named his homestudio as Last-Studio. Between 2002-2006 he finished 15 albums under the name 'Rule'. It was a kind of experimental study in electronic sounds using midi controllers and other simple freeware programs, sometimes adding distorted acoustic guitare. Second project was 'Tyrisalu', with a little higher quality level and better audio equipment. There exist 5 albums, done between 2004-2010. ... Tyrisalu is a village near little town called Keila-Joa (correct name for the village is Türisalu) on the northern coast of Estonia. The place is famous for its high coastland and abandoned Keila-Joa Estate, plus military base buildings. But the main theme in this area is nature ( Keila-Joa river and waterfall ) and almost "Stalker" ( Tarkovsky's classic what was filmed also in Estonia ) alike atmosphere.
