Bio:
In 2012 Robert Larrabee wrote a number of songs with noted Nashville song writer Jess Cates, who has written or co-written Billboard 100 hits for many artists. Robert also wrote three songs with Chad Cates, brother of Jess.
The material, collectively, became Middle of Something, Robert’s accomplished and polished country album released in 2013.

Robert and the Cates brothers’ ear for melody and a well-crafted tune is best exemplified by the title track, a great slice of melodic mid-tempo country that quickly made the playlists of a number of Canadian radio stations.

But perhaps the biggest compliments for the album come from comments received from professional music reviewers.

Dan MacIntosh (whose work has appeared in Rolling Stone and other publications) declared that Robert was “the real deal” vocally, going on to comment that “it’s refreshing to hear a recording that doesn’t try to pump up the volume just to get the attention of young rock fans that honestly don’t know the difference between county music and amped up rock. That makes Middle of Something something not to be missed.”

Music writer/ critic Ross Muir wrote that the tunes on the album proved “a good song is a good song, no matter the arrangement, and Robert Larrabee has his fair share of good songs on Middle of Something.”
The album also had the distinction of being the first true country album to receive a review on Muir’s rock-orientated music website FabricationsHQ.

Entertaining audiences in Canada, the United States and Mexico.
Performances across the continents from London, England to Sydney, Australia.
An independently issued solo album that was radio playlisted in Canada and 26 countries across Europe within three months of release, with more songs to follow.

That’s quite an accomplishment for a kid who started life in an oxygen tent.

And that kid’s not finished yet. In fact he’s only just starting:
”Music is still the most important driving force in my life – I love to entertain and perform for people and share the emotion.
”And isn’t it fantastic that hundreds or even thousands of people, who don’t particularly know each other, can be in a room together and have such a good time?
”This is the magical force of music and performance; an artistic force that can be used to unite us.”

Robert Larrabee is most definitely in the Middle of Something.
And it’s something good.

Dan MacIntosh critiques Larrabee Music

As a singer, Larrabee sounds a little like Luke Bryan, particularly during “What About Today.” Lyrically, this song expresses Larrabee’s optimism. Instead of getting overwhelmed by negativity, Larrabee sings about the good in life and gives many reasons to be happy.

Like a lot of country singers, Larrabee has a strong spiritual side. This part of his musical personality is expressed via “Godly…
