- Theresa, originally from Denmark, S.C., is a 39 year old, single parent. She started composing when she was about 13 years old. About age 15 she started writing poetry. In 1990, her and her sister co- wrote the lyrics to "Leaving Me For Her." . Around 1992 she wrote her next song, "Saying I Love You." In 1998 Theresa hit a songwriting streak which is when "It Takes One To Know One" and many,others were created.
