2011 is just about over and not soon enough, since the F5 tornado tore through our home town of Joplin Missouri in may life has not been the same.It wasn't just the landscape that changed that day, but every life was affected in one way or another.I myself had a tromatic experience.I was working at the hospital that was hit by the tornado, i cant begin to explain what it was like and thing's i experienced that evening, but that was just the beginning.due to the destruction and debris the only way to get through town was to walk, so i did. i walked 6 blocks through what looked like a war zone to check on my son and his mother, when i got to their house or what used to be thier house they were no where to be found.i called everyone i knew to call and no one had seen them.the next day a list of missing person's was released and my heart dropped when i saw both of their names on the list.over a week went by as i searched non stop for my son, then at 10pm on a thursday night i got a phone call from his mom saying they were ok.i was fortunate, i didn't lose a loved one that day but many people did. Our community is still struggling to recover but with the love and help from amazing people around the world who were quick to respond Joplin will be better than ever.God bless all who helped, prayed, and went through that horrible day.
