Bio:: Sept 2004 - Sept 2006 Deus Ex Machina (DEM) was formed in early 2004 with Lincoln(drums) and Justin (Fen-rir) on second guitar. Due to school and other issues, commitment was a problem. Gene ( TBK, Bhelliom) for drums and Mak(ex-Angel of Sin) on bass joined in 2005, and together with Ryan, the band began composing songs . The band release their debut album, The War Inside, with vocalists from MeltgSnow, TBK and Rudra amongst others, lending their voices on each track.

Oct 2006 - Dec 2007 The band gig with new members Shailendra on drums, Mithun on permanent vocals, and new bass player Daniel and Rory on guitars. They record a self titled demo, available only for trades in early 2007.

Jan 2008- 2009 Deus ex Machina undergoes 2 line up changes and write throughout 2008 and early 2009. Tharenii from Stillborn and Caspar join the band in 2008 till 2009. Due to some inevitable circumstances, Anand and Thomas join the lineup just before the launch of the new album I, Human.

Aug 15 2009 I, Human is released to a welcome reception worldwide. The band take a short break and head to Jogjakarta for the first time in 2010 as the only overseas guest band at the annual Brebeg Festival - Indonesia’s Oldest Metal Event.

2011 - The band head back to the studio to write the ending of the I,Human saga with a view to a release in 2012. Throughout the year, the band plays yet again at the annual Brebeg Festival as well as the Tyranny of Eight tour in Malaysia with fellow Singapore band Truth Be Known as well as bands such as Wynken Delirium, Maosun and Death in Evolution amongst others from Malaysia. The band also play the Nakhon Unite Vol.6 festival in Bangkok and finally share the stage with Sri Lankan bands Unholy Sermon and Fallen Grace in Singapore.
