...and so begins another little journey in my music life! Every year brings new experiences, new music, and in turn plenty of stories making fabulous lyrics. Last year I had the pleasure of winning "Best EDM/Dance song" 2017 , the year before that, "best alternative pop song 2016", and the year before I was lucky enough to visit everyone in person and sing at the Awards- A DREAM COME TRUE!- and win "Best Female Alternative Pop singer 2015", and I had the privilege of meeting Chris in person and take on some valuable advice and quality time together. I can only aspire to be an award winner again this year.
This year my direction is shifting to a more relaxed melodic alternative pop. I feel like as my life settles into a calmer place, my music is reflecting some 'love who I am and where I am right now' time, as opposed the (what was very therapeutic) 'life stories' that I was so proud to openly share with everyone over the years with my Album "Poetic Solitude". I'm celebrating my true love - Its time acknowledge and celebrate some of the most beautiful things in life, and celebrate those things that we should be grateful for. Its time for some Self-Love and gratitude for "Re-Arna" in 2018.
I have been travelling Europe, singing and living my dream of sharing my music with those who will hear it, collaborating with other beautiful minds. I have been lucky enough to release this years track that I am nominating, in Greece, Cyprus, Moldova, Romania and Bulgaria - with plans to release here in AUS in March! It's an uphill battle being an Indie Artists but I wouldn't have it any other way-An award for this work would just be such an honor, however, I would be honored to simply be nominated this year.
I hope you enjoy my music. :) My love and passion is in music, song writing and singing, and if i could spend every waking hour of everyday writing, singing, and creating my music for a living, I would be completely fulfilled. That's the dream...
I'm hoping for a little encouragement, support and interest and to most certainly provide an avenue for others to relate to my stories about my child hood my years as a woman and my experiences of being different. Now i embrace being Ethnic, different, and less than perfect. Being ME is what makes me beautiful, not aesthetics or technical measures or acceptance by others. I can only wish to speed up the process for others questioning and comparing the selves. Just love what you have. Its a long road but baby steps will get you there. Creating music will keep you sane along the way. Be yourself. xxx
