The ORACLE is taking the world communities by storm. Smiles abundant, a burst of energy, mesmerizing audiences with her stellar performances, Denise L. Cook, known as The ORACLE is a sight to behold on and off stage. She brings to the stage a wealth of experience as a choreographer, producer, director, published author, actor, dancer, spoken word artist, singer and motivational speaker, and is well known as a healer in the field of massage therapy. Denise began her career in the arts at an early age establishing her first dance company at the age of eight. Ms. Cook went on to receive her B.A. in Dance and MFA at U.C.L.A. and later a M.Ed at National University. She has studied, performed and worked alongside such notables as Carmen De Lavelaude, Chester Whitmore, Fayard Nicholas, Debbie Allen, Steven Simeon, Shirley Martin, the U.C.L.A. Dance Company, Hal DeWindt, Eddie Beale, Peter Long, Curtis Gadson, Saul Bernstein, Delilah Williams, H. B. Barnum and Mark Swinton. Musical credits include her two CD’s which accompany her books, encompassing R/B, Jazz and Spoken Word fusion and a consideration for nomination in the 2002 Grammy Latin Jazz category, for her #1 hit poetic rendition of ‘I Don’t Speak Spanish But I Understand Everything When I’m Dancing’ by Tarabu Betsari Kirkland, “Mambo Jazz” (#1 in New York, Florida, Dublin and England). To top it all off, Denise has ventured into the exciting eclectic realm of Spoken Word Artistry. Denise is a prolific writer and captivating performer bringing to life words penned by her hand and others; she invites in, then envelopes her audience with memorable performances. Her current titles, FULL CIRCLE Balance In Life and The Oracle Speaks...just because. Her newest installment, a series titled, The ORACLE Presents Ten Pages of Nothing But The Truth: life inspirations meant to guide by the heart and spirit of “Common Sense”, along with a litany of published works in numerous Anthologies and other small press publications attest to her diversity of style, wit and understanding of the written word and things life. Her works represent her true nature and is summed up in The ORACLE’s motto, “all-ways remember to love yourself”.
