Afton Prater recently released her debut EP, 'Stay With Me.' The record is great collection of self-written songs that is bound to make waves in the teen and Top 40 market, while still embracing a songwriter soul and maturity. This EP made it to the final Grammy ballot. She also won Best Country Songwriter and Best Teen Songwriter at the 2013 Indie Music Channel Songwriter Awards. The project has received outstanding reviews and amazing radio support so far. The first single, 'Forever With You,' sat at the top of the charts on The Radio Cafe's Indie Music Countdown since it debuted. Afton Prater is a Country-Pop 15-year old singer / songwriter / guitarist from Seabeck, Washington. She learned to play the guitar when she was 11 years old and wrote her first song when she was 12. She's been performing at various venues around Washington state since she was 13. She is an honor student and also enjoys hanging out with friends and family and having as much fun as possibe! She made her first CD ('Beautiful Describes') in August 2012 consisting of nine songs that she wrote, played guitar and sang on. She has the ability to write music that appeals to both teenagers and adults. She writes beyond her years.Her musical influences are her friends and family, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Katy Perry, Pink, and Rhianna.
